October 27, 2003 - 7:46 a.m. So, there is this guy at work, who often says "God does it for free", or some dirivetive, when he is over-explaining some project or another, as he is want to do. He usually employs the term when talking about letting something air dry, instead of towell drying it. I can't tell, though, if he uses the saying as a believer of a faith, or if its just something he heard and likes. I wouldn't usually let myself think about something like this, since, usually, it doesn't really concern me, but now... As per instruction, I have been letting this guy's God do the drying of dishes and utensils, for about a month. I have noticed a couple things, the first of all being that his God takes a Long-ass time to dry things, though I guess He might have other things on his agenda. The second being that this guy's God has let everything develope rust, while being trusted with drying, which I think is just careless or lazy. I think I am going to have a talk with this guy, and have him talk to his God about things and how they should be getting done, which should avoid embarrassment and not hurt anyone's feelings. I would probably say a few things about what a God could be doing with his time that was more productive then dishes, or something about taking pride in your work. But thats just not my place, to say such things to another man's God. Though you wouldn't catch my Goddess near such chores, thats for sure, or even on this plane of existence, for that matter. But I think she spends most of her time undoing the bungles of the other Gods who don't bother to clean up after Themselves.
